EU NRRP FUNDING TO SCHOOLS TO ADDRESS THE DIGITAL DIVIDE
The funding provided was used by Scoil Choilm CNS to address the needs of learners at risk of educational disadvantage through the digital divide in our school.
Description of project:
Enhanced Digital Infrastructure – iPads, HP Probooks, IPs purchased to ensure digital access to pupils in all classes.
How the project operates:
iPads and laptops are now used throughout the school on a daily basis. The children all have a Seesaw account – an online learning platform and use these accounts regularly. We are working towards increasing the children’s digital literacy and online skills.
How many pupils were impacted:
Whole school was impacted by access to this funding – 840 pupils.

Any other information:
Along with the iPads and HP Probooks purchased, protective cases and trolleys to house these new sets were also purchased. A MacMini was also purchased for updating iPads centrally from the server. The remainder of the funding is being used to purchase updated CleverTouch Interactive Panels for classrooms to improve interactive presentation in the classrooms.
